Our Story

GroomCraft was founded in 2012 in Toronto by Jacob Mitchell, a former barber with a passion for quality grooming products. Frustrated by the lack of premium, locally-made grooming supplies, Jacob began crafting his own beard oils in his apartment using Canadian-sourced ingredients.

What started as a small operation selling at local markets quickly gained a loyal following. By 2014, GroomCraft had expanded to a full product line and opened its first workshop in downtown Toronto, where artisans handcrafted each product with meticulous attention to detail.

In 2017, we partnered with sustainable forestry initiatives across Canada to source our wooden components ethically, reinforcing our commitment to environmental responsibility. The following year, our Northern Cedar Beard Oil won the prestigious Canadian Grooming Award, cementing our reputation as industry leaders.

Today, GroomCraft products are available across North America and ship internationally, but we remain true to our Canadian roots. We continue to manufacture all our products in our Toronto workshop, maintaining the quality and craftsmanship that has defined our brand from day one.
